Great question! It depends on what you’d like for your special occasion as well as what you’d like to do with your topper after your event.
Our custom cake toppers are made from a durable resin that won’t require you to reinforce your cake on your special day and can last your lifetime if cared for properly.
Sometimes it’s hard to know what you want for a cake topper. What style should you get, what size, what kind, etc. I’m here to offer some advice on the matter. I believe the cake topper is one area in the wedding where you can let the couple’s personality show through, really reflecting who they are. It’s a great way to add humor to your wedding and have fun with it on an otherwise serious day. You can be serious, romantic, fun, cute, touching, anything you want!
Let’s start with size. Picking your size depends on how much presence you want the topper to have, if it is going to be the focus of your cake then make it big. The size should be based on how big the top tier of the cake is. If it’s a 6″ top layer, consider a max of 4″ wide for a big presence. 2″ to 3″ will give you a nice size, for an overall balanced presence. 1″ wide, total, will probably be too small. If you want really subtle then it is a good way to go. Usually 1″ wide is a great size for cupcakes.
For an 8″ tier or bigger, consider having at least an inch on both sides available. I would recommend 2″ on each side. One other thing you should keep in mind is how heavy the topper will be, you don’t want it to crush your cake! But you can always have the cake reinforced with dowels to hold it up.
Decorations on the cake. Think about the overall design of your topper, do you have fall leaves or flowers decorating the other layers, would a nest with birds work at the top, surrounded by leaves? Do you want your topper to be on multiple levels? The possibilities are endless!
What style of topper do you want? You should really ask yourself what you want, that will determine the style you go for. If you want elegant and classy, then maybe a monogram is the right way to go, it could have glitz on it. If you want something cute and fun then maybe a clay topper is a good way to go, it makes a great keepsake, and just about anything can be done.
Next question if you go with cute or fun, do you choose an animal, people, or an inanimate object? You should just look at things you both love that speak to your personalities.

Yes. Send us a message using the -CONTACT FORM-
The first step is placing your order in our -STORE-.
After receiving your order, we will send you 3D rendered images of your custom cake topper for your approval (to confirm the pose, customizations, and colors). Generating and sharing these images with you could take up to 2 weeks.
Once we have your approval, we 3D print your topper, at which point no changes to the pose and accessories can be requested or made. Next, depending on your order selection, we either spray a flat base coat for you to paint it yourself or we paint it with your color and shading preferences.
From here we send pictures of your actual 3D printed custom cake topper for your final approval. Only when you are satisfied with the colors will we apply your desired final top coat* and mail it to you in time for your special day.

The figures of our custom cake toppers are made of resin and the bases of the figures are made of PETG, a non-toxic, food-safe plastic.
Our topper bases are non-toxic and food safe, and our topper figure(s) are safe to handle but should not come into contact with food (which is why the bases are made from a different non-toxic, food safe material).
We can do that, as long as we are painting it and you are not painting the cake topper yourself. For a shiny finish, select glossy (shiny) finish when ordering.
You should keep your cake topper out of direct sunlight and although it is a durable material, it can crack, so care should be given when handling to avoid dropping.
At the end of your special occasion, wash your topper off with a lightly damp cloth using water only. Do not use any chemicals on your topper, including spraying perfume near it.
When your topper gets dusty either use compressed air to blow it off or wash it with a lightly damp cloth using water only.
Keep out of reach of small children and pets.
Your custom cake topper could last your lifetime and beyond (family keepsake!), and look like new, as long as you care for it properly (see care notes above).
Shockingly light, like a few ounces. They are so light you will not need to reinforce your cake!
Shipping prices vary based on size and weight. Your order will show your shipping options (USPS, UPS, etc). All shipping options include tracking numbers and insurance against loss.

Refunds
Partial refunds might be available if we have not yet 3D printed your custom cake topper. Refunds are not available once work has started on a topper. Refund requests must be received in writing.
Shipping Issues
Though each topper is packaged as safely and securely as possible, accidents and delays can happen during shipping that are out of our control,
If your topper is damaged during shipping, we will make arrangements with you to fix, replace, or refund your order in part or full, depending on the situation.
In order to receive your topper in time for your event, allow at least the advised timeframe when placing your order. There are no refunds if your order arrives late.

Late or Missing Refunds
If after a refund request is granted, you haven’t received the funds in your account within 10 business days, check your bank and credit card accounts again in 2-3 days.

Exchanges
We want you to be completely satisfied with your topper. Although we package each topper as safely and securely as possible, accidents and delays that are out of our control can happen during shipping. Depending on the circumstances, if your custom cake topper is damaged in shipping, we will make arrangements with you to fix it, replace it, or send a refund in part or full. If you would like to request a replacement, email us at yourfriends@caketoppercreations.com within 3 days of receiving your topper and include pictures. Depending on the severity, we can discuss the possibility of you completing cosmetic repairs or, if needed, shipping the item back for repair or replacement.

Cake Topper Creations Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.caketoppercreations.com (the “Site”).
PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). reCAPTCHA is used to check whether the data entered on our website (such as on a contact form) has been entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not advised that such an analysis is taking place. Data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Additionally, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, Paypal), email address, and phone number.
